Walters Wellness Group, founded in 2021 by clinical psychologist Dr. Cathia Walters, partners with organizations locally in California, nationally, and internationally to support emotional wellness and sustainable performance.

Through consulting, educational courses, and targeted programs, we help individuals and teams strengthen communication, increase emotional intelligence, and reduce burnout. Our work equips clients with a shared language and practical tools to navigate common yet complex challenges—conflict, anxiety, relationship strain, sleep disruption, and grief.

Dr. Cathia Walters

Founder & CEO

Dr. Cathia Walters — known to many as Dr. C — is a clinical psychologist, facilitator, and speaker, and the founder of Walters Wellness Group, a consulting and training firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She designs and leads transformative learning experiences for individuals and across corporate, nonprofit, and community settings.

Dr. C is known for translating complex psychological and relational concepts into practical, actionable tools for real-world impact. Her work centers on leadership and organizational wellness — equipping individuals, teams, managers, and executives with the skills to communicate effectively, manage stress, reduce burnout and build healthier environments.

Dr. Yvette Flores

Consultant, Spanish-Language

Dr. Flores is a Distinguished Professor and Community-Clinical Psychologist with over 33 years at UC Davis, where she holds a joint appointment in Psychology and Chicana/o Studies. With postdoctoral training in health psychology, her work bridges psychology and Chicano/Latino studies — foregrounding gender, ethnicity, and culture in research, teaching, and clinical practice.

Her research spans substance abuse treatment, women's mental health, intimate partner violence, and the mental health impact of migration on Mexican men. She is the author of four books and an e-book, including Chicana and Chicano Mental Health: Alma, Mente y Corazon and Decolonial Psychology Approaches with Latinx.

A nationally and internationally recognized consultant on cultural humility, trauma, and migration, Dr. Flores currently serves as President of APA's Division 27 — Society for Community Research and Action
